FAIR national plan in Germany and national initiatives to support FAIR in Romania

The "FAIR Implementation Workshop - FAIR national plan in Germany and national initiatives to support FAIR in Romania" took place on 1 February 2024 14:00-16:00 CET.  
 

This two-hour workshop aimed to present the building, process, structure, and organisation of the FAIR national plan in Germany and national initiatives to support FAIR in Romania and to facilitate comparison between the approaches and processes in two different countries.

Speakers:

Sophie Kraft, holds a master’s degree in Sociology. She started as Scientific Officer within the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) in July 2020. Her main fields of work are the coordination of the association bodies as well as the international networking of NFDI, especially with EOSC.

Mihaela Cucu (RO-NOSCI): Mihaela Cucu graduated from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and she has been working as an expert on implementing national and international projects within the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI). She has been involved in a lot of EU funded projects on research and higher education in the last fourteen  years, including the one aiming to elaborate the national strategy for research and development and the project creating the Romanian platform for the European research area. She was an adviser at the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research for one year. Starting 2017 she has joined the activities dedicated to Open Science in Romania, being a member of the Romanian NOAD in OpenAIRE and RDA Projects.

Andreea Popa (RO-NOSCI): Andreea Popa, former HR specialist with solid experience and exposure to the private sector, changed her career path in 2013 and started working within the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding, International Relations and Projects Implementation Unit. Since then, Andreea engaged in many international research projects, and European structural funded projects, either as team member or coordinator for different administrative activities. Starting December 2019 she has joined the activities dedicated to Open Science in Romania.
